As UKSD has evolved over the years, one mission has always been at the core of the work we do. The foundation of our program is developing community minded youth leaders, while enabling them to foster a desire to make an impact locally, as well as globally. We work with teens throughout Cape Cod and the South Shore, teaching them to use soccer as a means of community connection, education, self-identity awareness, diversity appreciation, and as a means by which they can develop both their soccer skills and their character.
Our Mission - Developing athletes and teaching them to give back
UKSD, through all of our programs, uses the game of soccer to educate youth and teens about social issues such as, homelessness, hunger, substance abuse, and gender equity at little to no cost. We will enable athletes to receive quality life experiences by linking together multiple generations within the community. To do this, we encourage high school age youth leaders to work directly with younger players in order to teach and pass on real world messages. We provide community service opportunities for young people to be productive members of society and to create a positive change throughout their own communities, as well as those in need throughout the the world.
